The 17th Annual AML/CFT/CPF Conference opened on Monday, June 15th, 2026 at the Four Seasons Resort, Nevis, bringing together regulators, financial institutions, and regional experts, under the theme: “Reimagining Financial Supervision: Navigating Risk and Regulation in the Age of Artificial Intelligence.”
The conference hosted by the Financial Services Regulatory Commission (Nevis Branch) ended on Tuesday June 16th.
In his opening remarks, Premier of Nevis welcomed delegates from across the Caribbean and beyond, underscoring the value of regional networking and professional exchange. He also highlighted the growing role of artificial intelligence in financial regulation, noting both its risks and opportunities:
The Premier stressed Nevis’ ambition to expand its financial services sector and reaffirmed the jurisdiction’s openness to global business.
Further,AML/CFT/CPF refers to Anti-Money Laundering, Countering the Financing of Terrorism, and Countering the Financing of Proliferation.
The conference included activities such as panel discussions, case study reviews, group exercises, and technical presentations on emerging risks such as artificial intelligence in financial crime detection.
