Just over two decades after launching its first website in 2005, the Nevis Island Administration (NIA) has launched a new modernized website designed to make government information and services more accessible while highlighting the capabilities of its local technology team.
Director of Information Technology, Mr. Craig David, traced the journey of two decades of technological growth from the government’s first website in the early 2000’s to today’s upgraded platform, sharing stories of resilience, including recovering from cyberattacks and the 2014 Treasury fire that threatened critical government systems:
The new website has been built entirely in-house by the NIA’s Information Technology Department, offering streamlined access to government services, news, public documents, ministry information, events, online resources and useful information for residents and visitors.
Minister of Information Technology, ET. Al., Hon. Troy Liburd praised the department for creating and managing the site locally, noting that it demonstrates that innovation exists within Nevis. It is mobile-friendly, searchable, and designed to evolve as government services continue to expand in the digital age. You can access the website by visiting www.nia.gov.kn.
