48 Students begin training For Summer Job Attachment Programme

The Department of Youth on Nevis officially launched its 2026 Summer Job Attachment Programme (SJAP) with an opening ceremony and training workshop (today) June 22nd, at the Malcolm Guishard Recreational Park.
Held under the theme “Building Futures: Unlocking the Potential in You,” the programme aims to prepare young people for the workforce through career-readiness training, mentorship, and practical workplace experience.
A total of 68 young people applied this year, with 48 participants selected to begin training. Over the week, participants will receive instruction in workplace professionalism, budgeting, resume writing, confidentiality, and email etiquette before beginning internships from July 6th to July 31st.
