The Oualie Beach Resort is celebrating two major travel honors, receiving Tripadvisor’s Travelers’ Choice Award and KAYAK’s Travel Award for consistently outstanding guest reviews.

Tripadvisor’s Travelers’ Choice Award recognizes properties ranked among the top 10% of listings on the platform, while KAYAK’s award highlights properties that consistently exceed traveler expectations through highly favorable reviews.

The recognition marks another milestone in the history of the family-owned resort, which began on January 3, 1980, as a simple beach bar nestled in Oualie Bay. Nearly a decade later, on November 16, 1989, its first six rooms opened. It has since evolved into an eco-sensitive, 32-room beachfront property blending Caribbean charm with traditional island architecture.

The resort is owned by the Yearwoods, a large West Indian family whose roots trace back 350 years to England. For decades, the family has focused on providing friendly, efficient service while maintaining the property’s distinctive character.

The latest awards, based on traveler feedback, underscore Oualie Beach Resort’s enduring commitment to guest satisfaction and its reputation as a welcoming Nevis destination.
