St. Kitts and Nevis strengthened its relationship with the global travel advisor community as the 2026 American Society of Travel Advisors (ASTA) Caribbean Showcase took place on St. Kitts from August 22nd to 25th. Hosted at Marriott’s Beach Club in St. Kitts, the event brought together travel advisors, tourism officials and industry representatives for business sessions, educational opportunities, marketplace meetings and destination experiences.

The showcase was an opportunity for local tourism entities such as the St. Kitts Tourism Authority and Nevis Tourism Authority to deepen relationships with travel advisors, who remained an important link between the destination and prospective visitors. Curated hotel site visits included Park Hyatt St. Kitts, KOI Resort Saint Kitts and Royal St. Kitts Hotel, giving advisors firsthand exposure to the island’s accommodations, hospitality and tourism offerings.

The program also featured excursions across St. Kitts and Nevis, allowing participants to experience the destination’s culture, natural attractions and hospitality. Officials said these partnerships were expected to support visitation and contribute to the local economy.

The American Society of Travel Advisors (ASTA) is the world’s largest association representing travel professionals and served as a leading advocate for travel advisors, the travel industry and travelers. Founded in 1931, the organization evolved alongside the travel sector, adopting its current name in 2018 to reflect the changing role of advisors. ASTA’s members were guided by a shared code of ethics emphasizing professionalism, integrity and consumer trust.
