St. Kitts and Nevis will join the region once more in celebrating Caribbean Wellness Day.
Caribbean Wellness Day is an annual event in September that is geared at increasing awareness and promoting activities to address non-communicable diseases including mental health.
On Nevis, the Health Promotion Unit (HPU) will hold a Wellness Walk, under the theme: “Engage, Empower, Elevate: Working together to Improve Health and Well-being for All” on Saturday, September 12th, 2026.
Registration is now open and can be accessed via the HPU’s facebook page and scan the QR code on the event flyer to gain entry. According to the HPU, “The event is open to all ages and participants will enjoy an exciting new walk route, designed to provide a fresh and engaging wellness experience for the entire community”.
The walk is scheduled to begin from the Malcolm Guishard Recreational Park at 6:00 a.m. A warm-up session will be held prior at 5:30 a.m. For more assistance, please dial 469-8010.
In St. Kitts, the walk will begin at Caribbean Cinemas at 5:30 a.m. Warm-up is scheduled for 5:00 a.m. Persons are asked to wear a T-shirt representing a cause that is meaningful to you and your family or from previous health walks or campaigns, health organization, charity or community group.
