On Monday, August 31^st 2026, teachers and other school faculty across the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis gathered to usher in the start of the new academic school year for 2026-2027.

On Nevis, educators and other auxiliary staff gathered at the Nevis Performing Arts Center (NEPAC) where they were engaged in praise and worship, prayer, encouragement and remarks from various individuals including Minister of Education on Nevis, Hon. Troy Liburd:

Under the theme: “Poised for Success: Reflect, Reimagine, Respond”, the Department of Education-Nevis shared that the event saw almost 400 school officials.

Meantime, on St. Kitts, educators and other support staff gathered at the St. Kitts Marriott Resort where speeches were heard from several senior education officials including Federal Minister of Education, Hon. Dr. Geoffrey Hanley.

Although the teachers are back on duty this week, students will return to their new classrooms on Monday, September 7^th, 2026 for the new term.
