Mental Health Diagnosis and Treatment is Taboo in Nevis so says Mental Health Unit Counselor

St. Kitts and Nevis joins the rest of the world in the observance of Mental Health week, which is being observed from October 4th to October 10th, 2020.

 

The theme for this year’s observance is ‘Mental Health for All: Greater Investment-Greater Access’. 

 

On this week’s edition of the Let’s Talk program, Counselors at the Nevis Mental Health Unit, Mr. McMillian Coffee and Ms. Delicia Julius, spoke about Mental Health counseling and therapy here on Nevis, although according to the guests, it is “taboo” on the island.
