With the Christmas and Carnival seasons fast approaching, the question lingers in the murmurs of citizens and residents, as to what will be done to keep criminal activity to a minimum during the festive season?
During a press briefing hosted by the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force on Tuesday, officials enlightened the public on what plans are being put in place to keep the peace in the community. While addressing those in attendance, Police Commissioner James Sutton spoke on the collaboration that will be taking place between the police and the St. Kitts and Nevis Defence Force due to limited manpower in both forces.
It was also mentioned that the forces are seeking the official word from the Governor General in allowing members of the defence force the authority to place individuals under arrest. Commissioner Sutton also spoke on other measures being undertaken:
