Autopsy performed on Ishmael Hanley

An autopsy performed on a man, who died in a boat incident on April 19th 2023, on Nevis, was performed on Tuesday April 25th.

 

 

 

Early in the afternoon last Wednesday, Ishmael Anthony Hanley, 58, of Jessups Village, was said to be struck by a boat owned by a local company.

 

 

 

He was assisted by the captain of the boat and then transported to the Alexandra Hospital. Shortly thereafter, Hanley succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.

 

 

 

District Medical Pathologist, Dr Adrian Nuñez, who performed the autopsy, concluded that the cause of death was: hypovolemic shock due to multiple lacerations to the body as a result of being struck by a boat.
