Chair of National COVID-19 Task Force says “there seems to be a lack of compliance” from restaurants and bars
The VONNEWSLINE has spoken to Chair of the National COVID-19 Task Force, Mr. Abdias Samuel, concerning bars and restaurants not adhering to the COVID-19 regulations.
Mr. Samuel said the Task Force has also met with Cabinet.

According to the current St. Christopher and Nevis Statutory Rules and Orders No. 37 of 2020 Emergency Powers (COVID-19) (No. 12) Regulations, “a person who contravenes or fails to comply with these Regulations shall be liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding five thousand dollars or a term of imprisonment not exceeding 6 months or to both and to forfeiture of any goods or money in respect of which the offence has been committed.”
