Sunday 17th November marked the beginning of the observance of Child Abuse Prevention Week, which will end on Saturday November 23rd in St. Kitts. It is being held under the theme: “Creating a World that Fulfills the Rights of Every Child Everywhere”.
Child Protection Officer, Tasanna Kelly – Johnson from the Department of Probation and Child Protection Services-St. Kitts, gave these comments.

The week featured a special prayer on Sunday, Youth National Prayer Day on Monday, Staff School Visits on Tuesday and Thursday, and on Saturday a Blue Bear Wall Repair where they would refurbish the symbol of child sexual abuse.
Additionally, on Wednesday November 20th persons are asked to wear the colour blue to raise awareness which coincides with World Children’s Day with the theme: “Listen to the Future”.
