Civil Servants on St. Kitts to receive bi-monthly payment from July 1st

Civil Servants on the island of St. Kitts will begin to receive pay on a bi-monthly basis as of July 1st, 2023.

 

 

 

Workers will be paid on the 14th, and 28th of each month. If the dates fall on a weekend, the pay date will be changed to the Friday of the same week. If the dates fall on a public holiday, salaries will be paid on the previous working day.

 

 

 

In an effort to inform the public on the change, the government held an Open house on June 13th and June 14th where members of the civil service were able to interact with personnel from the Human Resources Department, head of the civil service and financial institutions across the island. Persons were able to learn how loan payments, deductions and other matters would be dealt with in the future.

 

 

 

As it relates to the Nevis Island Administration (NIA), Premier of Nevis, Hon. Mark Brantley spoke on the arrangement its civil servants can expect:
