Commissioner of Corrections elaborates on COVID-19 protection measures at Her Majesty’s Prison
Since the first confirmed cases of the Coronavirus in the Federation on March 25th 2020, staff and inmates at Her Majesty’s prison have been protected from any potential outbreaks of the COVID-19.
Caribbean islands such as Guyana, Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago have had difficulties in preventing outbreaks from occurring at their local correctional facilities.
However, as an early precaution, St. Kitts and Nevis’ prison facilities went on Lockdown from March 22nd, 2020 according to Commissioner of Corrections, Mr. Terrance James.
