Concerns over risks of landslides on Pond Hill Road, Nevis

The cliff side area at Pond Hill, here on Nevis, has been a concern to commuters due to the geography of the land posing a risk of rock fall and land-slides, from bad weather.

 

Previous works conducted at the site included the construction of a rock retaining wall, built adjacent to the cliff formation as a safe guard for drivers.

 

However, some drivers still express their concerns of the hazard to the Government.

 

One such citizen, shared his concerns with Premier of Nevis, the Hon. Mark Brantley, during last week’s edition of the “On the Mark” program, here on Von Radio 860 AM.
