The Livestock Program, of the Department of Agriculture – St. Kitts will be distributing 20 Boer Cross Goats, ranging from juveniles to potentially pregnant does, through a “Goat Breeding Program Raffle”.

Boer Cross goats are excellent for meat and dairy production as well as climate adaptive. The distribution of these goats is an effort to increase and improve, the livestock of farmers, and contribute to sustainable growth of their farms, and the agricultural sector in St. Kitts.

The raffle will be conducted at the Small Ruminants Farmers Meeting, scheduled for, Thursday, January 23rd, 2025, at 5:30 p.m. The location will be the Department of Agriculture’s Large Conference Room. The selection process will be random, and in person, so interested farmers must be present to claim a prize.

Persons can register by visiting the Veterinary Service Office in St. Kitts or call 465-2110. The deadline for registration is January 21^st, 2025.
