During Thursday’s edition of the In Focus Programme, citizens and residents of the federation were encouraged to take responsibility for their waste and ensuring its is getting disposed in a proper manner.

Representatives from the Ministry of Constituency Empowerment stated that even though entities such as the Solid Waste Department’s purpose is to take care of such matters, persons should still remain responsible and call the relevant organizations to keep the country clean.

Persons are also reminded to engage in the recycling initiative where plastic items, tin cans etc. are collected to be recycled instead of being disposed at the respective landfills.
