The Department of Youth saw the execution of the closing ceremony for its Summer Job Attachment Programme (SJAP) 2023 on Wednesday, August 16th, 2023.

SJAP is an annual initiative held by the department, to prepare school leavers with a variety of training and experience, to successfully enter the world of work. The programme saw a total of 66 interns attached to 31 businesses and government departments. It began on July 17th and will end (today) August 18th lasting a span of five weeks. Representatives of a number of participating business places along with the interns were present at the ceremony, with some presenting testimonials based on the five-week experience.

Participants received certificates of completion from Director of Youth Ms. Kerdis Clarke and a select few receiving special awards including best dressed, most punctual, most outstanding and most dedicated interns over the course of the training period.

Also present at the ceremony was Deputy Premier Hon Eric Evelyn.
