Questions remain as it relates to the continuation and/or commencement of projects announced by the federal government in 2023.
One such project is the ECHD or East Coast Housing Development Limited)Affordable Smart Homes announced by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of housing et.al, Dr. Geoffrey Hanley on May 5th, 2023. According to the announcement, the project will see the construction of 2400 homes with one-bedroom, two-bedroom, or three-bedroom options and will utilize a modern reinforced concrete system.
The initiative is to be carried out through a contract signed by the government of St. Kitts and Nevis, National Housing Corporation (NHC) and East Coast Housing Development based in Trinidad.
