Dr. Douglas: Decision to not attend parliament “was based on the assessment of massive malpractices” in General Elections

The St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party (SKNLP) has mentioned that because of wrongdoings during the June 5th General Election here in St. Kitts & Nevis, they could not attend the opening of the National Assembly.

 

The event, which was held at the St. Kitts Marriott Resort in Frigate Bay, St. Kitts, included the Election of Speaker, Oath/Affirmation of Allegiance by Members of Parliament and the Throne Speech, by the Governor General, Sir S.W. Tapley Seaton.

 

The above-mentioned was stated by the Party’s Leader and Elected Representative for St. Christopher # 6, Dr. the Hon. Denzil Douglas.  He also said:

 

 

Dr. Douglas also claimed that corruption had a dominant place, at the last General Election.
