EMS pleads with public to cooperate

As the Emergency Medical Service (EMS) seems to be seeing an increase in the amount of calls and health emergencies daily, representatives from the service continues to plead for the assistance and cooperation of the general public to be able to provide medical care as quickly as possible.

 

 

 

During the ‘In Focus’ Program, technicians from the EMS spoke on the challenges they regularly encounter. They spoke on challenges currently being worked-on such as the addition of new ethnic groups and diverse individuals in the federation creating language barriers and limiting vital communication between a patient and the health care provider.

 

 

 

They also spoke on a recurrent issue being dealt with by the service. Providing more was Emergency Medical Technician, Mr. Omoro Hodge:
