Prime Minister, Dr. Terrance Drew, giving an update on May 18th, about the father of SKN’s Honorary Consul to Haiti, following his kidnapping.

In April, the Government of St. Kitts and Nevis released a statement following the incident and said that its Honorary Consul, Mr. Harold Marzouka Junior’s father, was abducted. Mr. Marzouka Junior is based in Port au Prince, Haiti.

The kidnapping was said to be carried out by gangsters who have been causing unrest in the country and to its citizens and residents. The consulate’s official vehicle was also seized.

The government condemned the incident and other acts in general, carried out by the individuals.
