Federal government receives USD250,000 from Taiwan for Pinneys’ Infrastructural Development

The Government of St. Kitts and Nevis (SKN) has been the recipient of a USD $250,000 donation from the Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan) located in Basseterre, St. Kitts.

 

 

 

The official handing over of the cheque was done by the Resident Ambassador of the Republic of China (Taiwan) to St. Kitts & Nevis, His Excellency Michael Lin and receiving it was St. Kitts and Nevis’ Prime Minister, Hon. Dr. Terrance Drew. Also present at the proceedings was Premier of Nevis, Hon. Mark Brantley.

 

 

 

The donation will go towards the further development of the Pinney’s Beach Sustainable Tourism Improvement Project on Nevis. According to previous statements by Premier Brantley who is also the Minister of Tourism, the project is expected to include the installation of a boardwalk, additional restrooms and parking space, lighting work, restaurants and bars
