According to information received from Monday’s Post Cabinet Press Briefing, Premier of Nevis and Representative for Nevis 9 – Hon. Mark Anthony Graham Brantley was appointed as the Opposition Leader in the Federal Parliament by St. Kitts and Nevis’ Governor General, His Excellency – Tapley Seaton.

Hon. Brantley along with the other ten members of parliament will partake in the First Sitting of the St. Kitts and Nevis National Assembly since the August 5^th general election.

The proceedings will be held at the St. Kitts Marriott Resort Royal Ballroom on Tuesday, October 25^th, 2022.

This sitting will see the election of a new Speaker of the House in addition to a Deputy Speaker. At his first recently held press conference, Prime Minister – Dr. Terrance Drew hinted on a potential female Speaker of the House.

The sitting is set to commence at 9:30 am.
