First Cabinet Briefing since August 5th general elections to be held on October 25th

According to information received from Monday’s Post Cabinet Press Briefing, Premier of Nevis and Representative for Nevis 9 – Hon. Mark Anthony Graham Brantley was appointed as the Opposition Leader in the Federal Parliament by St. Kitts and Nevis’ Governor General, His Excellency – Tapley Seaton.

 

Hon. Brantley along with the other ten members of parliament will partake in the First Sitting of the St. Kitts and Nevis National Assembly since the August 5th general election.

 

The proceedings will be held at the St. Kitts Marriott Resort Royal Ballroom on Tuesday, October 25th, 2022.

 

This sitting will see the election of a new Speaker of the House in addition to a Deputy Speaker. At his first recently held press conference, Prime Minister – Dr. Terrance Drew hinted on a potential female Speaker of the House.

 

The sitting is set to commence at 9:30 am.
