Fogging continues in St. Kitts to limit the spread of Dengue
St. Kitts Ministry of Health continues its efforts to mitigate against the spread of the Dengue virus within the Federation.
The Fogging, which is being held from October 24th to the 29th, will see:
La Valley, Newton Ground, St. Paul’s being fogged from 5-9PM, on Sat. October 28th-Village, Mc Knight from 5-9PM, then on Sun. October 29th-Conyers, Halfway Tree, Boat Yards, Romney Ground from 5-10PM.
The Fogging comes following the announcement of the three (3) confirmed cases of Dengue in SKN. Nevis conducted the Fogging exercise recently, but to date, no further schedule has been announced.
Dengue is a viral infection caused by the dengue virus, transmitted to humans through the bite of infected mosquitoes. The World Health Organization (WHO) lists the most common dengue symptoms, including high fever, headache, body aches, nausea and rash. WHO explained that most people would improve in 1–2 weeks.
