Foreign Affairs Minister holds multiple meetings with officials during Cuba visit

Minister of Foreign Affairs the Rt. Hon. Dr. Denzil Douglas visited multiple diplomats during his trip to Cuba last week.

 

 

 

The engagements were held while he was attending a Congress on New International Economic Order (NIEO) which took place during the V International Congress for World Balance. There were over 1,100 delegates from 87 Countries in attendance.

 

 

 

Dr. Douglas met with H.E. Felix Plasenica, Executive Secretary of the Bolivarian Alliance for the People of Our America-People’s Trade Treaty (ALBA-TCP). They held discussions on the Challenges and Structure of the Organization, Future Membership and the upcoming ALBA Games in Venezuela.

 

 

 

He also met with Cuba’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, H. E. Bruno Rodriquez Parilla. According to Dr. Douglas they discussed a wide range of issues including: Cuba’s Leadership role in G77, the challenges of the current global landscape and Cuba-US relations.
