Former Constable charged with 2016 manslaughter of another officer

A former Constable of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force, who shot and killed another Officer, was arrested and charged by Police for the offence of Manslaughter.

 

 

 

Dijon Warner of Conaree Village, St. Kitts, was arrested and charged by Police for the abovementioned offence, which was committed on the June 23rd 2016 at Cayon Street, against former Police Officer, Brian Pacquette.

 

 

 

Pacquette was shot in the leg during an altercation in 2016, after responding to a robbery. He was flown to Trinidad and Tobago for treatment but later succumbed to his injury. In 2018, police issued a wanted person bulletin for Warner after he tendered his resignation and fled to the U.S.

 

 

 

He arrived at the Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport on Wednesday November 29th, after serving a five (5)-year sentence in a U.S. detention facility. Mr. Warner was taken into Police custody and transported to the Basseterre Police Station where he was charged on November 29th.
