Former GG wishes his successor well in message to SKN

“I demitted Office on 31st January 2023 after having served in the Office of Governor-General from 2015,” so says former Governor-General His Excellency Sir S W Tapley Seaton, GCMG, CVO, KC, JP, LLD, in a message to the Federation.

 

 

 

It comes as Her Excellency – Ms. Marcella Liburd JP, was sworn-in as the Federation’s 5th Governor-General (GG) on Tuesday night (January 31st), and is the 1st woman to hold the post.

 

 

 

An installation ceremony for GG Liburd will be held on Saturday, February 4th, at 4:30 pm.

 

 

 

Sir Seaton said him being the GG of St. Kitts and Nevis, “has been a fulfilling experience after having served for fifteen (15) years as the 1st Attorney General of Independent Saint Christopher and Nevis.”

 

 

 

He added, “I can only extend best wishes to everyone for the future and trust that you will be able to fulfill your expectations. Best wishes as well to my Successor for a successful tenure.
