Four Bills will be brought before the Nevis Island Assembly during a Sitting (today) Tuesday, October 6th, at 10:00 a.m. at the Nevis Island Assembly Chambers, Hamilton House. During the Questions segment of the Sitting, Member for Nevis 4, St. James Parish, the Hon. Dr. Janice Daniel-Hodge, will pose the following question to Member for Nevis 2, Premier the Hon. Mark Brantley:

 

 

When was the last payment made by the Nevis Island Administration to the Nevis Electricity Company Limited for electricity usage and what is the Nevis Island Administration’s indebtedness to the Nevis Electricity Company Limited as of August 31st 2026 for electricity usage?

 

 

The Member for Nevis 4 will also pose the following question to Member for Nevis 1, Minister of Communications et.al, the Hon. Spencer Brand: Has the Director of Planning issued detailed development permission for the VIA expansion project pursuant to section 17 of the Nevis Physical Planning and Development Control Ordinance and Section 2 (2) of the Nevis Physical Planning and Development Control Regulations, 2021?

 

 

Premier and Minister of Finance, the Hon. Mark Brantley, will seek leave to introduce and have read a first time, the Nevis Limited Partnership Ordinance (Amendment) Bill, 2026.

 

 

He will also move the second and third readings of the Nevis Limited Partnership Ordinance (Amendment) Bill, 2026, the Companies Ordinance (Amendment) Bill, 2026 (first reading was July 14th 2026), Nevis Business Corporation Ordinance (Amendment) Bill, 2026 (first reading July 14th 2026) and Nevis Limited Liability Company Ordinance (Amendment) Bill, 2026 (first reading July 14th 2026).
