In recognition of Cervical Cancer Awareness in the Month of January, the Community Health Nursing Services here on Nevis, will be conducting free Papsmears.
Cervical Cancer is the abnormal growth of cells in the cervix, the lower part of the uterus, often caused by the Human papillomavirus (HPV) infection and is the fourth most common type of cancer found in women globally.
Papsmears will be conducted on Saturday, January 25th, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. to 11:30a.m. They will be available at the Charlestown, Brown Hill, Gingerland, Combermere and Cotton Ground Health Centres.
