The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force (RSCNPF), working alongside the St. Kitts-Nevis Defence Force (SKNDF), have apprehended two Jamaican fugitives wanted for serious violent crimes in their home country.

Kemar Matthews and Chevone Brown were captured in separate joint operations carried out on May 18th and May 20th, 2026. According to authorities, both men were wanted by Jamaican law enforcement on charges of “murder and wounding with intent.” By 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon, May 21st, the fugitives had been repatriated to Jamaica.

In a statement, the RSCNPF reaffirmed its commitment to regional security, declaring that “The Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis is not, and will not be, a haven for individuals seeking to evade justice for serious criminal offences committed elsewhere.”

The police force also emphasized the importance of “sustained intelligence-sharing and inter-agency collaboration” in maintaining public safety and supporting regional law enforcement efforts.

Authorities commended officers of both the RSCNPF and SKNDF for their “professionalism and swift execution” during the operations.
