During his quarterly press conference on April 21st, 2026, Federal Minister of Sports and the Creative Economy,  Agriculture, et. al, the Hon. Samal Duggins, spoke about a crucial sporting infrastructure in the federation:

A video presentation outlined a plan to conduct a full transformation of the facility into a modern, multi-sport precinct anchored by a cricket stadium expanded to 5,000 seats, alongside upgraded media, VIP, and hospitality infrastructure. The redevelopment also integrates football, basketball, netball, and volleyball facilities that will position Warner Park as a unified hub for elite sport and community use.

A key part of the presentation was a detailed digital model of the sports complex showing what it will look like before construction begins. It helps planners make better decisions, avoid costly mistakes, and keep everyone working from the same plan. It also supports the goal of creating a facility that can be used year-round, meets international standards, and delivers long-term value for the country.
