Grants awarded to successful Future Tourism Project participants
St. Kitts’ Ministry of Tourism in collaboration with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) awarded three individuals with financial grants on Thursday, January 26th, 2023.
Alongside the University of the West Indies (UWI), the UNDP and the Frankfurt School of Finance and Management, launched the Future Tourism Project, which supported 150 Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the Eastern Caribbean region with grants to retool, upscale and improve business operations, to cope with the adverse effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The project in question was centered around three areas namely: Digital Technologies, Financial Planning and Marketing. The recipients awarded during the ceremony received USD $1,651.00 to contribute to their business.
The honorees included: Mr. Azmon Thomas of Azz Solutions, Mr. Otis Jeffers of Produce Delight: Conscious Farming and Ms. Carol Clarke from Essence of Delight.
