Grocery store robbery under investigation

Lawmen are investigating a theft that occurred at a grocery store at Pine Gardens, Shadwell, St. Kitts, on Monday May 27th, between 2PM and 3PM.

 

 

 

Initial investigations indicate that a single masked assailant entered the establishment, stole a sum of money from the cash register, then left the scene. No one was injured during the incident.

 

 

 

The Crime Scene Unit of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force (RSCNPF) processed the scene and collected some items of evidential value. Police say the investigation is ongoing and updates will be issued to the public accordingly.

 

 

 

Persons having any information about this or any other criminal incident, are urged to contact the nearest Police station or call the Crime Stoppers’ hotline, 707.

Meantime, a man was recently sentenced to HMP in connection with the possession of a firearm. Xavier Corey Francis of Conaree Village, St. Kitts, was sentenced to serve five (5) years in His Majesty’s Prison for the Possession of a Firearm.

 

 

 

The offence was committed on January 9th 2023, and Mr. Francis’ sentence was handed down by His Lordship Justice Iain Morley, KC, on Thursday May 23rd.
