The Gingerland Secondary School (GSS) is celebrating its 50th anniversary. The school opened its doors to educate the youths of Nevis on January 24th, 1973.

In celebration of the milestone, the school held a Praise-a-Thon Anniversary service on January 24th which saw a large gathering of students, teachers and well-wishers alike.

The VONNEWSLINE spoke with the Principal of the School, Mr. Kayno David who made this comment regarding the school’s accomplishment:

In keeping with the celebrations, the school has a number of activities planned for the remainder of the year, including: School Pride Day on January 27th 2023, their Anniversary Sports meet on February 16th, GSS Calypso show, Miss GSS Pageant and more to be announced.
