Hildreth Tross declared the winner in the Ministry of Tourism’s Environmental Poster Contest  

Hildreth Tross of the Cecele Browne Integrated School (CBIS) was declared the winner of an Environmental Poster Contest held this year. 

 

Organized by the Nevis Ministry of Tourism, under the theme: “Keep Nevis Clean,” the Competition urged its eleven participants, all from the Cecele Browne Integrated School to use their artistic skills to design a poster “depicting ways in which one can use each of the three (3) environmental ”R’s”: Reuse, Reduce and Recycle, to preserve and conserve our resources and keep our island clean”. 

 

According to the criteria of the Competition: the artwork must be original, submitted using standard manila size paper and clearly uses of each of the three (3) environmental “R’s” (Reuse, Reduce, Recycle) while keeping in line with the theme.

 

Placed second in the Competition was Jaquoiya Francis while Kijaunte Hobson was placed third.

 

Each of the eleven participants received an EC $100.00 gift card from Latitude Seventeen, a Development Consultants, Project and Construction Management Company.

 

Premier Brantley while presenting the gift cards to the participants congratulated the students on their hard work.

 

The Environmental Poster Contest was organized as one of the activities held under Exposition Nevis 2022.
