Hypertension Day 2021 observed to increase awareness of the condition

That was Junior Minister of Health on Nevis, the Hon. Hazel Brandy-Williams. 

 

Her remarks were made in an Address to mark the observance of World Hypertension Day 2021.  

It is a day designated and initiated by the World Hypertension League (WHL): an umbrella to organizations of 85 national hypertension societies and leagues. 

 

The main aim of the day is to educate the public and increase awareness of hypertension, which is also commonly known as High Blood Pressure.

The Minister spoke about an initiative that the Health Promotion Unit (Nevis) and Taiwan International Cooperation and Development Fund (ICDF), will conduct:
