Ian “Patches” Liburd is SKN’s new Permanent Representative to the UN
Ambassador His Excellency, Ian “Patches” Liburd is the Federation’s new Permanent Representative to the United Nations (UN).
Prime Minister – Dr. the Hon. Harris, made the announcement on Thursday, January 14th, 2021:

In May 2020, Permanent Representative of St. Kitts and Nevis to the United Nations (then), Mr. Sam T. Condor announced his resignation from the abovementioned post, during a Press Conference.
According to Mr. Condor, the Team Unity coalition “has not fulfilled the Good Governance agenda”.
Other Foreign Service Officers are being transferred to postings in SKN’s Embassies and Missions abroad.
Mr. Sheldon Henry will join Ambassador Liburd working at the Permanent Mission to the United Nations as the Second Secretary; Ms. Shanelle Simmonds has been approved an assignment to the Permanent Mission to the OAS in Washington D.C. as First Secretary and Ms. Denaula Laplace will be posted to SKN’s High Commission in Ottawa, as Second Secretary.
