“Boys Under Construction” is the theme for this year’s observance of the International Day of the Boy Child.

It is observed annually on May 16^th and it creates awareness on the issues concerning the boy child.

It also highlights how persons can groom and mentor boys in order to have a gender-equal world. This year’s theme focuses on boosting optimism, restoring self-worth.

As part of the observance, Deputy PM and Federal Minister of Gender Affairs et al., the Hon. Eugene Hamilton, reflected on the theme in his address.
