“Build with Earthquakes in Mind”

That’s the theme for this year’s observance of Earthquake Awareness Month, which is being held throughout the month of January, by the Nevis Disaster Management Department (NDMD).

Director of the NDMD, Mr. Brian Dyer, explains.

In light of the “various hazards” Mr. Dyer mentioned, he provided some measures to take, if or when an Earthquake or Tsunami occurs.
