Local swimmer nominated for World Open Water Swimming Association

Local Swimming and Scuba Diving Instructor, Valerie Gregoire has been nominated for the World Open Water Swimming Association (WOWSA). 

 

Valerie Gregoire is more widely known for her work as a Suba Diving and Swimming Instructor, as well as a Reef Monitoring Coordinator.

 

She is also known for her continuous contributions in Coaching the Special Olympics swimmers and the members of the St Kitts and Nevis Swimming Federation and with the “Swim to Win” program. 

 

According to openwaterswimming.com, she was nominated “for increasing swimming opportunities on St. Kitts for both inexperienced and experienced ocean swimmers with long sea swims and short coastal introduction programs both with individuals of all ages and walks of life.” 

 

World Open Water Swimming Association is dedicated to promoting open water swimming around the world.
