Police say they have charged a Nevis resident following the discovery of a quantity of suspected cannabis during the execution of a search warrant.

A release said officers of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force (RSCNPF), executed a warrant at the premises of Carl Jones of Hard Times, Gingerland, Nevis, on Wednesday August 27^th.

Officers discovered a total of eight (8) bags containing compressed vegetable material suspected to be cannabis, during the search.

Mr. Jones was subsequently arrested and taken into custody along with the items. He was charged on Thursday August 28^th, at the Cotton Ground Police Station with the offence of Possession of Cannabis With Intent To Supply.
