Lawmen have laid four (4) charges against a Kittitian male for the offences of Rape, Indecent Assault, and Robbery (two counts).

The criminal acts were committed between 12AM and 1AM on Saturday June 1st 2024, in the St. Peter’s area, St. Kitts.

The criminal charges were laid on Monday June 10th, at the Basseterre Police Station.

As it relates to the names of the persons involved, according to the “Offences against the Person Act,” CAP 4.21 Section 73 (1):

“After a person is charged with an offence mentioned in 72 (2) (which speaks about rape and other matters), no matter which is likely to lead members of the public to identify a person as the complainant or as the accused in relation to that offence shall either be published in a written publication or be broadcast in St. Christopher and Nevis.”
