Ministers of Labour Address on World Day for Safety and Health at Work

Under the theme: “Anticipate, prepare and respond to crises and invest now in resilient Occupational Safety and Health (OHS) systems”, St. Kitts and Nevis joins the rest of the world in celebrating World Day for Safety and Health at Work. 

 

Celebrated on April 28th, World Day for Safety and Health at Work promotes the prevention of occupational accidents and diseases globally.  

 

Federal Minister of Labour et. al. – the Hon. Wendy Phipps outlined some of the Labour Department’s goals, based on those set by the International Labour Organization (ILO).

In 2003, the International Labour Organization (ILO) became involved in the April 28th Campaign upon request from the Trade Union movement.
