The Department of Education made donations to three Pre-Schools on the island of Nevis.

The official handing over of a Smart television to each school occurred on Friday, February 11th, 2023. In attendance were Junior Minister with responsibility for Education, et.al. – Hon. Troy Liburd, Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Education, Mr. Kevin Barrett along with other representatives of the department.

The three schools were the Charlestown Pre School, Inez France Pre School and the St. John’s Pre School.

Remarking on the donation was Hon. Liburd who said “This is another small, but significant step in providing equitable access to technology.”

The televisions will be used by teachers and supervisors to share online content when introducing and reinforcing concepts. The presentation according to Minister Liburd is indicative of the Ministry’s thrust towards integrating more technology at all levels
