Monkey Hill man struck by vehicle dies; driver apprehended by police

The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force (RSCNPF) is investigating a tragic traffic incident that resulted in the untimely passing of James Morton of Monkey Hill, St. Peter’s, St. Kitts. The incident took place on June 18th, 2024, on George Street in Newtown, St. Kitts. Preliminary investigations revealed that Mr. Morton was struck by a vehicle while he was on George Street.

 

 

 

Following the incident, he was rushed to the Joseph N. France General Hospital by Emergency Medical Services (EMS) with severe head injuries where he was warded at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in critical condition. Morton succumbed to his injuries on June 19th, 2024.

 

 

 

At the scene of the accident, the driver of the vehicle involved was apprehended by law enforcement and is currently cooperating with authorities as part of the ongoing investigation.
