During the 25th Annual General Meeting of the Port Management Association of the Caribbean (PMAC), the Nevis Air and Sea Port Authority (NASPA) won the NovaPort Cup Award on Thursday, September 15th, 2022.
The award is based on the five (5) categories of Port Performance Indicators (PPIs).
The PPIs are the total cargo volumes, the total revenue generated per revenue ton, the total expenses per revenue ton, the net profit per revenue ton and the total staff per revenue ton and is given to the most improved among the regional sea ports for 2021 compared to 2020.
General Manager of NASPA, Mr. Oral Brandy was quoted as saying that “he is pleased that the port authority can once again stand out and shine among the many ports of various sizes throughout the region. Further, he stated that this attainment must be credited to his staff that has worked tirelessly through challenging times and with limited resources”.
Also commenting on the award was Chairman of NASPA’s Board, Mr. Joseph Liburd who said that he is quite proud of NASPA in copping 1st place during a time that was very difficult which shows that NASPA remains committed and continue to improve the productivity of the port.
