A Resolution on developing geothermal energy on Nevis was passed in the National Assembly on Monday Nov. 20th. Prime Minister, Dr. Terrance Drew, read it during a Sitting and said:

Meantime, Premier and Minister of Public Utilities and Energy on Nevis, Hon. Mark Brantley has hailed the passing of a Resolution, as a historic national development and expressed his gratitude to the Federal Government.

The Nevis Island Administration secured a $17 million recoverable grant from the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) in December 2022, to fund the drilling phase of the Geothermal Project. The production drilling phase will comprise of three production wells and two injection wells at Hamilton, Nevis.
