As the National Secretariat for Human Security and Wellbeing continues its community outreach, a meeting was held on Nevis on Saturday April 25th, seeking to strengthen partnerships with faith-based leaders.

Coordinator of the Secretariat, Ms. Eartha Carey, took part in a meeting with Wesleyan Holiness Church pastors, which brought together eighteen pastors from St. Kitts and Nevis as part of their regular bi-annual gathering.

The session provided an opportunity to share information on the work of the Secretariat and explore areas of collaboration with the church community, recognizing the important role faith-based organisations play in supporting families, guiding young people and strengthening communities.

Following the session, the Secretariat received invitations to engage further with community groups and students on Nevis, reflecting growing interest in its work at the community level. Public engagements will continue in St. Kitts.

The National Secretariat for Human Security and Wellbeing said in a press release it “remains committed to building a coordinated, community-driven approach to safety and crime reduction across St. Kitts and Nevis.”
