On July 15^th 2020, one hundred and fifty-four livestock farmers on Nevis were the recipients of a large quantity of animal feed donation from the Nevis Island Administration (NIA)/Eastern Caribbean Group of Companies (ECGC) partnership, amounting to $33,000.00 EC.

The ceremony, which was held in Prospect saw some 825 bags of feed in total distributed by Deputy Premier of Nevis and Minister of Agriculture, the Hon. Alexis Jeffers.

The donation was as a result of a collaborative effort between the Ministries of Agriculture; Finance and Trade and ECGC.

The VONNEWSLINE spoke with Minister Jeffers on how the donation came about.

Minister Jeffers, who is also the Federal Minister of Agriculture, gave this comment regarding farmers in St. Kitts receiving a similar donation.
